What an interesting little car we have here - the BMW i3 with the Loft interior and extended range performance. The standard battery is augmented by a small petrol engine that gives an extra 60 or so miles - if your EV battery goes flat, you know you've still got a pretty good additional range to get you home or to a charging point.
The first thing you notice is the chilled-out interior, featuring a range of natural and natural-look materials including wood and leather. It makes for a relaxing, Scandi design feel.
The next thing you notice is the very brisk acceleration - it's a real pleasure to drive, nippy, handles well and very quiet. It's an impressive little car that feels surprisingly roomy too.
