1968 DAIMLER 250 V8 £4495

We usually have a couple of older cars at our Tebay unit, partly to give us something to enthuse about and partly because so many customers enjoy seeing them. Recently we have had a couple of Corvette Stingrays, a Citroen CX2000, an old Audi Coupe and an MGB GT. We also currently have this Daimler 250, a 2.5 litre V8 petrol with beautiful leather bench seats front and rear.

It's not far off 60 years old now, so it's far from a new car. However, it wears it's heart on it's sleeve, it's an honest car, surely worthy of a new, loving owner.

It went through a massive rebuild/restoration project a few years ago, following which it was sold. In the intervening period, the paintwork has suffered, there's some cracking and discolouration, but it still oozes character.

The interior has been well done. The leather bench seats are in excellent condition and there's even a built in modern multi media unit tucked away.

The engine starts up first time and runs well. When we've taken it out, the engine has cut out on us a couple of times, but restarted fine. This is related to the ignition circuit, so possibly a coil or connection. The gearbox also works fine.

We're selling this to make way for the next one, whatever that may be.......
